The director of Dany's school actually rang me up yesterday to clarify on my complaint of which I emailed them a couple days ago.
After telling him my concerns and also listening to some unnecessary preaching about how they teach their students origami.. I finally told him, look- bottomline is whatever excuse or reason you have for depriving my son from his trophy like the rest of the children, it is just unacceptable. A kindergarten should at least allow them to experience the prize giving ceremony, perhaps a small token of something, merely because no 1: these are small kids, how do you rationalise with them?
no 2: the feeling of being left out is something even adults have problem dealing with, so how can you expect a kid to cope with it?
no 3: Whatever activities in school, it should promote learning and fun. And when you reprimand, you take away the fun.
How can you isolate a three year old just because he got cold feet from performing?!And to do it twice even after I complained the first time is just proving that the school has no intention to change.
Anyways- I complained months after the incident. I have even taken him out from the school, but I'm glad I sat down and wrote that email. Hopefully I can now shake off those images of Dany folding a piece of paper and put it in front of him because the rest of the children have trophies.

So where should I send him now after this H1N1 epidemic is over?
*Silent prayers for the victims. Hopefully it will soon be over.
